The Enterprise Innovation and Development Conference was held in Jinan, East China's Shandong province on Nov 23.
More than 200 representatives from multinational companies, local firms, business associations took part in the event to seek cooperation opportunities in innovative business development.
During the conference, 12 international cooperation projects worth a combined 2.59 billion yuan ($362.7 million) were signed. These projects are related to sectors such as advanced manufacturing, information technology, healthcare and modern services, and are targeted at overseas markets including North America, the European Union, Southeast Asia and Africa.
"These signed projects are of great significance for Shandong's efforts to optimize the layout of the industrial chain and supply chain, accelerate digital and green transformation, and promote win-win cooperation between Chinese and foreign businesses," said He Zhongjun, vice-president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-council.
Shandong Guoli Economic and Technical Cooperation Ltd, a domestic leader in international vocational education, signed a cooperation agreement with K-Brand, a high-end medical and beauty technology company in South Korea, during the conference.
This cooperation will see those in China who are interested in working in the modern service industry receive professional vocational skills training by K-Brand. These individuals will receive a certificate recognized by the South Korean government before working in South Korean companies. K-Brand is expected to train up to 1,500 people per year.
